At Lindholmen Technical High School, there are approximately 1000 students and over 100 employees.

We offer Gothenburg's widest range of technical education programs: Electrical and Energy Program, Industrial Technology Program, Maritime Education, Technology Program, and Plumbing and Property Management Program. The school has also offered adult education focused on industry for the past two years, as well as a newly started T4 education.

Workplace-based learning (APL) is a central part of our education, and we place great emphasis on further developing and quality assuring this part of our operations.

Lindholmen Technical High School is certified as a Teknikcollege. The school is also part of the Erasmus project Voltage.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a coordinator for the workplace-based learning (APL) assignment at Lindholmen Technical High School.

As an APL coordinator with us, you will play a central role in shaping and developing the future of vocational education. Together with our other APL coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating APL procurement at the school level and improving the quality of our work regarding workplace-based learning across all of the school's programs, including adult education.

Collaboration and Quality Development

As the coordinator for APL work at Lindholmen Technical High School, you will have a driving role in acquiring new APL placements for our students and play a central role in strengthening collaboration between the school, companies, and other societal actors. You will work closely with the school's other APL coordinator and our local process leader for Teknikcollege.

Lindholmen Technical High School will participate in a joint GR project on APL development starting in the spring term of 2026, and we envision you leading this project and assisting school principals with materials for strategic decisions related to quality in APL work, as well as working internally to implement both the project and quality-enhancing measures.

Structure and Operational Responsibility

As the coordinator for APL work at Lindholmen Technical High School, we see that you will collaborate with our vocational teachers to develop and implement school-wide structures for APL work as a whole. Furthermore, you will be responsible for administrative tasks such as risk assessments, handling ID06, coordinating supplementary training necessary for students to complete their APL, etc. You will conduct program councils and provide supervisor training for both the school's staff and representatives from the business sector.

As the coordinator of APL work, you have a special responsibility to work with and ensure access to APL placements for young people who need adjustments in their school everyday life.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in vocational education, preferably within both upper secondary school and adult education, and who has good contacts and knowledge of the industry. You have pedagogical and didactic skills and are well-versed in what the APL assignment means for student learning. It is an advantage if you are a qualified teacher or have other relevant pedagogical training.

  • Networking Ability: You have good knowledge of relevant industries and are skilled at building and maintaining professional contacts.
  • Process-Oriented Work Method: You have experience in driving projects, creating structures, and working towards set quality goals.
  • Initiative and Collaboration Skills: You take your own initiatives and have the ability to motivate students, teachers, and companies.
  • Organizational Skills: You have a good ability to structure and document your work, you are IT-savvy, and see the importance of spreading good examples.
